Songs about books – Triple Release show Wednesday night at HiFi!

Jessie KilgussCharlie Nieland and BBC founder, Susan Hwang are releasing their new recordings of songs inspired by works of Vonnegut, Tennessee Williams, Jonathan Ames, Stephen King and others (even Julia Child!).  The show is at HiFi in the East Village and will include performances from Jessie and her band, plus Charlie and Susan’s new all-lit-based duo, Lusterlit, plus special guests from Bushwick Book Club – Sweet SoubretteCasey Holford,Pearl Rhein and John S. Hall.  The good times are endless with a good book.  Or even a bad one.

Bushwick Book Club is featured on the first episode of the new TV show created by BBC founder, Susan Hwang called  The La La La Show.  Watch at 9:30pm today on channels TWC56 RCN83 FIOS34 and livestream on click on MNN2.

The other option is to come to the SCREENING PARTY at SUPERFINE in DUMBO, BROOKLYN.

Come to the screening party!  Watch the show projected in this fine establishment as BBC establishes itself as a TV entity.  Bring your own M&Ms or rosemary roasted pecans or celery, because it’s a BYOSnacks situation.  Hobnob with people who write songs about books.  We all smell different, and we like assignments.

Friday, November 6th, Bushwick Book Club presents new, original music inspired by the first ever Book Riot Live convention in Manhattan!  It’s the coming together of two, book-loving communities celebrating literature from every conceivable angle and then making up new ones.  The first Book Riot Live is a reader convention unlike any other, bringing readers and authors together with all manner of book-related activity including games, live podcasts, discussions and trivia.  Bushwick Book Club is the first musical/literary cross-over event of its kind with chapters in Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans and Malmo, Sweden.  On November 6th, the two come together at The Living Room in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for a performance of new original music inspired by the work of Book Riot Live panelists and featured authors.
